At first, the community rallied around the respected surgeon, but slowly a different story began to emerge of a sleazy secret life, of a manipulative lover, and an obsessive adulterer. His good name and credibility sank further with the revelation of the existence of a mistress tucked away in Copenhagen, Denmark with two small children he had fathered. The authorities, particularly an aggressive district attorney with his eyes on the Governors chair began to tighten a noose around his neck readying an indictment for murder.
